On and off, I've tended to read quite a bit. So, I thought I'd put up some reviews of books as I read them. In time, I may go back and add reviews of some of the books I read in the past. Not massively exciting, but I suppose it may be of interest to someone, somewhere (perhaps).
Büro Destruct II
The Bern-based graphic design group Büro Destruct are nicely eclectic, and kind enough to release books of their stuff in book form from time to time. The last thing of theirs I read was Narita Inspected, which was mostly a presentation of Japanese designers' work with the aggregation by BD. This one is solely their own work, and in comparison it's somewhat less diverse and exciting, but but it's still very fun, and rather more personal. As well as general graphic design, they seem to have a special interest in logos and display fonts, and the whole thing's informed by a great sense of humour. Their enthusiasm comes through in both the designs they produce amusingly stilted translated text.
