Nabla

On and off, I've tended to read quite a bit. So, I thought I'd put up some reviews of books as I read them. In time, I may go back and add reviews of some of the books I read in the past. Not massively exciting, but I suppose it may be of interest to someone, somewhere (perhaps).

The Man Who Loved Only Numbers - Paul Hoffman

For some reason, I'd managed to skip this fairly famous pop maths book before, which made it all the nicer to receive it at Christmas from Caroline. It's mostly a biography of Erdos, who was... well... very strange, but also rather impressive. Having said that, it does have a spattering of maths anecdotes. I'd heard most of them before, but the details of Erdos' life made for interesting reading. Altogether, a rather nice book .
