Nabla

On and off, I've tended to read quite a bit. So, I thought I'd put up some reviews of books as I read them. In time, I may go back and add reviews of some of the books I read in the past. Not massively exciting, but I suppose it may be of interest to someone, somewhere (perhaps).

Tournament Poker - David Sklansky

This book is the last from my epic charity shop poker book haul. The subtitle is 'for advanced players', and this is indeed true. If I hadn't bought this at the charity shop price, it would have been a waste of money. Who knows, maybe I'll read it again when/if I ever get good! Anyway, the reason it's 'for advanced players' is not that the concepts involved are difficult. It's more that it describes the relatively subtle modifications to be made to normal good cash play. If you can't do good cash play, these modifications mean a lot less. Ho hum.
