Ready Player One was lots of fun. Was Ernest Cline a one-trick pony?
Fundamentally, yes, but that's ok because he's written the same book again. Kid saves the world from aliens through computer-games-playing-expertise, with a big side-helping of retro-gaming nostalgia. It's a lot of fun. Plot twists are attempted, to greater and lesser degrees of success. There are strong hints at a sequel.
It's fun. It's not deep. It's not as good as Ready Player One, but it's pretty good.
