I've been a fan of nutty Swiss graphic designers Büro Destruct for some time, having a couple of their other books, but finally got their original volume as part of another Amazon order. And it's still great fun. Published in 1999, it precedes their other books, and so the work is a little less developed, but you can see everything there. There's a kind of pre-dot-com-crash feel to it, and it's charming to see graphic designers who were really proud of the hardware they were using. The actual design work has got a lot in common with the Designers Republic, but without going to the same degree of hyper-kinetics and, well, anger. Perhaps you just can't take modernism and laid-backness out of the Swiss?
