Glasshouse - Charles Stross

Hurrah! Another Charlie Stross book. I was a great fan of his stuff, and when I saw this, I couldn't wait to read it. I was not disappointed. I know my reviews can be rather non-specific, since I try to avoid revealing pretty much any plot (just in case, you know, you want to read the book), but it's set in a world pretty much like the future of Accelerando, and the background is fantastic. In a universe where nanotech disassembly and reassembly is the main technology for everything (from backing-up people and medical care to long-distance transport), a worm called Curious Yellow has infected all the replicators, and managed to erase everyone's knowledge of some piece of history, triggering a huge war. Life after these censorship wars is the backdrop to the story. Bring in a character who has elected to have some apparently dangerous memories wiped, and is now trying to work out why people want him (permanently) dead, and you have the start of this twisty story....
