Ray-tracing fun: Fuzzy reflections

Continuing my experiments with distributed ray-tracing, I've added fuzzy reflections. To be honest, I'm not terribly impressed by it, but you can kind of see the effect I'm aiming for. The five sub-images are non-fuzzy reflections, two levels of fuzziness, plus anisotropic fuzziness with the fuzz in horizontal and vertical directions. It's a bit dull, but I prefer to report the negative results as well as the things I think look good.
